Psychosynthesis Counsellor and EFT Practitioner
I want to see someone but how do I know who is right for me?
It can seem daunting because there are so many therapists to choose from. They also work in different ways which many people are not familiar with. My advice is to go with who you think would understand your issues. If you go along for an initial consult you are not obliged to continue.
I offer a free initial 15 minute consultation on the phone and I can give you an idea of how we might work together. If you are happy to continue, we can arrange an initial consult to talk in more detail as to what brings you to counselling. I typically suggest having 6 weekly sessions and then reviewing progress.
How long will I have to come for?
How long you will come for depends on what you feel is right for you. You may feel that you need something short term just to discuss a relationship or other issues that are troubling you in which case we would agree at the outset a number of sessions. This of course can be changed at any time or you are free to come back if you feel the need to. Perhaps some of the issues you bring are long standing and therefore a longer term may be more suitable.
Who else would know about our sessions?
Our sessions are confidential.
